A very far but worthwhile drive, it was 2 hours one way from the Hilton… but lots of pit stops along the way, but don’t eat too much because they have really good sandwiches and pastries! I wouldn’t know about the plate lunches… but you have to come here for the bread! And doughnuts ???? I’d recommend coming early before the lunch rush or you won’t have a spot to sit, and the line can get long but moves quickly. Remember to get some amazing guava bread to take home!

This was a great pit stop on the way to Volcanoes ???? park near the black sand beach ????️???? some of the best malasadas and pastries in Kona. ???????????? A must stop on your journey and remember to grab the ones with filling ???????????????? yum! ????

Best Malasadas I've ever had! The place is very popular so be prepared for a crowd! Good sandwich, the gift shop has pretty standard souvenirs. But the 'donuts' are the whole reason to drive out of your way to get here!

Their baked goods are delicious. They also have food like burgers, salads, and a little gift shop to bring home a souvenir. It is a very small bakery but there are gazebos you can sit outside to enjoy your purchases. The service is okay not the best but they are constantly busy.

Been a local staple for many years. Absolutely adore this place. The food is amazing, service is always excellent, and fantastic to see so many local products being carried in the shop.

It's a delightful bakery offering a wide variety of Hawaiian pastries. Ensure you arrive at least two hours before closing if you want to try their malasadas with various fillings. Keep in mind that it's quite popular, so be prepared for a long wait in line to place your order. Additionally, there's a gift shop where you can purchase souvenirs. Our favorites were the malasadas, especially the one with pineapple filling and the Bismark malasadas—chocolate-glazed with vanilla cream inside.

Taste : ✅ Value for money : ✅ Service : ✅ Ambience : ✅ --- Order review. Pastrami sandwich - this best choice here. Amazing! Chicken sandwich - plain old sandwich, Cheeseburger - similar to Chicken, it was okay. Cookies and shortbread - absolute delight. Masalada - lilikoi was amazing! Remaining ones were are similar to donuts.

Ok honestly had better expectations but the donuts were okay:( I do think you need to try it once as a tourist since the flavors of these donuts are tropical flavors (passion fruit) and it's interesting to try. I just wasn't mind blown over the dough since it wasn't fluffy or airy. Personally I don't like doughy-donuts just because I get easily blotted nor like the taste of flour. And I've definitely tried donuts that are more airy, less dense, and less dough. I would say definitely come try their flavors because it's not common to find passionfruit donut in California (where I am from), but maybe lower the expectation that the dough of the donut will be out of this world. The coffee was good; average! Not much indoor seating and only outdoor seating which was still pretty nice. They do have other options so don't let my review be a judgment of what you think! My friends and I just ended up trying the donuts since we already got their passionfruit cookies at Kona grocery store (which was actually really good).

Okay, can I say that these might be the best malasadas I've had in awhile? Dare I say, maybe even better than Leonard's? We got here as soon as they opened and they were fresh, warm, and filled with an immense amount of filling! We tried passionfruit, Bavarian cream, plain, and mango. They were all a hit! Will definitely be back to visit the most southern bakery in the USA!

We have been wanting to try Malasadas in this island as the other bakery sold out when we had gone. We were headed to Volcano national park and this bakery was a pit stop before heading there. They have many varieties of Malasadas at very reasonable prices. The Malasadas in the Kona and Waikoloa area were $5/each. They were way under $5 each here. Some of the filled Malasadas were vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, pineapple, apple, taro, haupia(coconut), lilikoi glazed, and more. There were also flavored ones (guava, taro). There were also burgers and drinks too. We ordered the lilikoi lemonade, mango lemonade and the coffee frosty which were delicious. There are 2 lines when you get there. The other line is through the second door. There are quite a bit of shaded seating areas.
